Support us during Radiothon!

KCJJ hosted their annual Radiothon to benefit Table to Table July 17-18. There’s still time to show your support!

We’re launching our fresh fruits and veggies recovery programs

Help us rescue thousands of pounds of good food each week!

Our Why

Our Mission

The mission of Table to Table is to keep wholesome, edible food from going to waste by collecting it from donors and distributing to those in need through agencies that serve the hungry, homeless and at-risk populations.

Since we began in April of 1996, Table to Table volunteers have rescued and distributed over 20 million pounds of food to area agencies.

Volunteers are essential to our mission. Each day, they are keeping great food from going to waste through their efforts. We have many volunteer opportunities available. Click on the link below to find out about how you can help.

We couldn’t do what we do without YOU!

Table to Table charges no fee for our service. We rely on support from the community to carry out our mission.
Your support of Table to Table is crucial.

Every dollar we receive for our operation yields nearly seventeen dollars of impact as we distribute the food we rescue. It is an incredible return on your donation dollar. Please consider becoming a Table to Table partner with a tax deductible donation today.

Table Talk

  • “The food the North Liberty Community Pantry receives from Table to Table, at no cost to the Pantry, has increased over the last several years to meet community needs. The Pantry has had double digit increases in visits to the Pantry. The additional food from Table to Table has assisted the Pantry in increasing the food options available to the community while maintaining moderate increases to our food purchasing budget. Items that have been greatly appreciated by families in need include fresh bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned soup, dairy items, cereal, snack items, and a variety of other food and toiletry items. More families are needing food assistance more often and Table to Table is helping to meeting those needs every day in Johnson County”

    Tina DuBois, Director
North Liberty Food and Clothing Pantry

  • We give food packages to 200 – 300 folks per week. What I see changing with the addition of the Table to Table food is the experience that our people have in line…

House of Hope Mission - Celeste

  • Table to Table themselves have been such a collaborative, I can’t even begin to explain. It’s been a friend and let me tell you , it’s been a resource…

    Food Pantry Director - Robert

  • If I didn’t have the food pantry and had to take money away, I would be facing eviction – that’s the difference between paying my electric bill and buying food.

    Food Pantry Recipient - Sara

  • “Table to Table is integral to the success of the Crisis Center Food Bank. We rely on your food rescue efforts to provide our clients with eggs, dairy, bread, produce, and many specialty items for people who prefer organic foods or who require a gluten-free diet. These foods are generally more expensive and do not fit into our budget. Table to Table allows our clients and our organization to stretch the budget while still having wholesome, fresh foods available. Thanks, Table to Table!”
